Stories with a Message

Musashi
I tend to be a non-fiction addict, I love to learn. But here’s the dilemma: I enjoy nothing more than time spent in a great story. Stories, the oldest of traditions reflecting our challenges, battles, joys, loves, myths and shared experiences of being alive. There’s nothing better than a tale that takes you for a ride, stimulates your mind, and changes everything: the way you think and who it is you want to be.

Sure, pure escapism’s great, but a story full of ideas that unlocks your mind to the potential of unending possibilities is even better.

So I became excited when I stumbled onto Tim Ferris’s list of “Top 10 Fiction Books for Non- Fiction Addicts”, suddenly I was set for the next six months or the next six years with his readers adding to the list. If what you’re looking for is a story with message then this is a good place to start.

I haven’t given up on non-fiction, just injected it with a little myth and fable.

Check it out, and let me know of other books that have left their impression on you.
