Changing Worlds

I love a midday rest, because the strangest thing about that middle day sleep is how you awaken to a different world. Not completely different, subtly different. The world has carried  on without you and suddenly you reappear. The sun’s shadows have change and the world seems somehow more textured.

Then you have the opportunity to re-enter, to re-discover and wonder through it like an observer wondering through a new town. Everything has the opportunity to begin anew.

And this is what we want, it is in fact what we need: everything to begin, new, as the world awakens and we again come alive.
